My name is Jeff Keeney. I’m husband of one wife, Lisa Anne, and dad to four awesome kids, Wilson, Kathleen, Asher, and Judah. I’m just ending my role as a Chaplain of a Christian Legal Ministry and am completing my Masters of Divinity in Practical Theology . I love great books, great food, great friends and have a passion for evangelism and discipleship.
I have many faults. Thankfully the gospel is true and Jesus is working on me, in me, and through me.
Gospel Centric is a place where I share my thoughts and ideas on the gospel, culture, and life and seek to equip and empower believers with Biblical resources and assorted posts from around the web.

I welcome blog comments, although they frequently spiral into discussions that are both unfruitful and uncharitable.
The goal of this blog is to be a place where we will all follow James’ admonishment to “Know this, my beloved brothers: let every person be quick to hear, slow to speak, slow to anger;” ; where everyone will seek to understand before critiquing, where we judge others charitably not critically, where we encourage and build each other up rather than trying to tear each other down and destroy.
I would encourage commenters to consider carefully the following commands and principles regarding our speech:
“Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt” (Col. 4:6).
“By your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned” (Matt. 12:37).
“Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor” (Rom. 12:10).
“Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear” (Eph. 4:29).
Speak the truth in love (Eph. 4:15, 25).
“If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, this person’s religion is worthless” (James 1:26).
